Industry: Medical and assisted living equipment, retail and rental
Region: Australia, dozens of company-owned stores plus a network of 85+ affiliated locations
Scale: National, multi-site retail and rental operation
This business was running its rental and retail operations across dozens of company-owned stores, with disparate systems creating fragmentation and duplicate data entry. Its wholesale division ran on an older ERP platform with no purpose-built rental capability, and the business needed a single, integrated system that could scale to support both its own store network and a much larger group of independently owned affiliate stores.
Austral Dynamics implemented Dynamics 365 Business Central integrated with a dedicated rental management extension, consolidating ERP and rental operations onto a single platform. The rollout unified purchasing, inventory and rental workflows that had previously been managed separately, and was designed with the flexibility to extend to affiliate stores in a later phase.
Disparate systems have been consolidated into one integrated platform, eliminating duplicate data entry across the store network. Store managers can now log in and manage any location remotely, improving flexibility and oversight. Within six months of go-live, stores in one state saw a 15% increase in revenue, attributed to fewer processing delays and better inventory control. Staff report reduced administrative stress thanks to faster access to information, and the business expects its rental revenue to double within a year of implementation.
